Katie Bowen
Teacher

Katie discovered her love for yoga through meditation at first. Meditating every morning during her final school years gave her the space she needed to better manage her busy days. During lockdown, she discovered the benefits of asana practice and combining movement with breath and mind, allowing her to connect deeper to her spirituality.
Katie deepened her practice throughout her hectic college years, even choosing to explore the role of mindfulness in higher education as part of her final year research project. The day after graduating, Katie embarked on her yoga teacher training journey to Rishikesh, India, where she immersed herself in the culture and was blown away by the wisdom of these ancient traditions. Katie loved practicing yoga by the Ganges River on her days off and reflecting upon the transformative impact that yoga has had on her life.
As a teacher, Katie’s aim is to share the wisdom of yoga with her students, creating a safe space where they can explore their connection to their own minds, bodies, and breath, and so naturally becoming more grounded in the present moment. Katie embraces all forms of yoga, including Ashtanga, vinyasa, and restorative, and she believes in being a student of life, for life.
