Eve O’Flanagan

Teacher

Eve O’Flanagan was first introduced to yoga in primary school, where she practiced bumble bee breath and asanas. After a period of disconnect, her interest in yoga was reignited during a few classes in Transition Year at secondary school. It was then that she realized she had been unknowingly practicing yoga at home, moving in ways that helped relieve the stress of a challenging family life and the pressures of being a teenager. Those early savasanas in TY were a revelation for her, and she knew yoga was her path. Yoga became her refuge from stress, pain, and the difficulties of life, especially during the COVID pandemic, providing her mind and body with much-needed relief.

Instead of focusing on studies, Eve often found herself practicing headstands or flowing through sun salutations, feeling lighter and more centered as a result.

In 2023, she took the next step by completing her yoga teacher training with Himalaya Yoga Valley in Cork City. Initially, teaching wasn’t part of her plan—her intention was simply to deepen her understanding of yoga and its philosophy. However, the training sparked a passion within her to share yoga with others.

Eve embraces all forms of yoga, including somatic yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and restorative yoga, each bringing its own unique qualities to her practice. She continuously learns, practices, and evolves, both for her own growth and for the benefit of her students.

Her goal is to offer her students the same warm, comforting embrace that yoga has provided her, creating a space where they feel supported, grounded, and connected to themselves.
