New Workshop – South Mall : Healthy Core & Pelvic Floor

We have a new workshop titled “Healthy Core & Pelvic Floor” scheduled for Sunday, January 28th, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the South Mall. Led by the experienced instructor Madeleine Scaramuzzo Jones, CAT, ATC, RYT 200, PES, this workshop is designed to provide valuable insights into the anatomical structures of the core and pelvic floor.

In the Healthy Core & Pelvic Floor Workshop, participants will learn:
– Anatomical structures of the core and pelvic floor
– The role of the core and pelvic floor in breathing
– How to connect with your bandhas and engage the core and pelvic floor in asanas
– Strengthening and stretching techniques for safe engagement and relaxation of the musculature
– Breathing techniques (pranayamas) to promote engagement and relaxation of the musculature

The Healthy Core & Pelvic Floor Workshop aims to teach techniques that help:
– Reduce low back and pelvic pain
– Achieve comfort in sitting, standing, lying, and transitional movements, both in yoga and daily activities
– Improve postural stability
– Promote better pelvic floor function (improved digestion and emptying, reduced leakage)
– Improve breathing patterns

This workshop addresses weak core musculature and pelvic floor dysfunction, making it ideal for those who experience:
– Low back pain
– Pelvic pain
– Pain with prolonged sitting, standing, lying, or transitional movements
– Constipation
– Incontinence
– Poor balance
– Dysfunctional breathing
